SAFETY PROTOCOL SOLUTION
Proper safety steps to take BEFORE servicing high voltage equipment:
- De-energize the equipment and lockout/tagout (LOTO)
- Test for zero energy with a verified voltage tester
- Establish restricted approach boundaries
- Wear appropriate PPE (insulated gloves, face shield, etc.)
- Have a qualified observer present
- Follow company-specific safety procedures
